Symbols - What does heaven look like

XXXXX

"Druantia and Aengus Og" by Helena Nelson Reed.

We use the X symbol in letters and emails to symbolise a kiss - where did the symbol come from?

Apparently it is Irish - Celtic.

In Irish mythology, Aengus was the god of love, youth and poetic inspiration. He was said to have four birds flying about his head "whence, it is believed, the xxxx's symbolising kisses at the end of lovers' letters come from".

W B Yeats
Though I am old with wandering through hollow lands and hilly lands,
I will find out where she has gone and kiss her lips and take her hands
