This girl had an OOB experience after she had fasted for 2 weeks as a young adult. She was of a religious bent and clearly had an ambition to want to 'talk in tongues' and 'perform miracles'. Instead she got a wake up call, although sadly she didn't seem to realise that that is what it was intended to be....

As I was studying [the Bible] I fell asleep. Well here was my bed and there was the window. It was like someone blew in the window and reached over and took me by the hand. I got up out of bed and I looked back and I was still lying in the bed. We went through that window and over Chicago, over the skyline and saw Lake Michigan.
At the edge of Lake Michigan, there was a great drop off place. It looked like a terrible pit. I heard people... crying out and they were trying to climb up out of that pit. It was like I understood that there was no hope for them.....
I was overwhelmed by it and couldn't stand to look at it anymore
