Having risen from the bed voluntarily in separation, I noticed a general lack of freedom. The wish for better freedom led to a change of state in which I appeared to be floating in a rather indefinite form. The further wish to feel solid ground then led to the clear sensation of walking and a brief sight of spiritual sunlight, expressive of intelligence and love. On returning to the physical state it was as if the physical body had been awake as well as the real self within and did not have to be jolted into wakefulness
