Type of Spiritual Experience

Background

Very often a person feels restricted by a 'ceiling' which stops you from exploring further than the room you are in.  In order to explore further you need to get over the spirit's reluctance to go higher and farther

A description of the experience

Out of the Body Experiences – Celia Green

  1. I usually float just below the ceiling of the room I am in, gently rising and falling, moving about the room; then usually rise straight up and see things from a great height, very small but distinct.
  2. I listened with great enjoyment to the overture before the curtain rose, and suddenly found myself floating above the great dome of the theatre.... I saw the roof of the theatre and thought how dirty it looked in the misty night air... I thought  how the whole roof structure needed a good clean, my emotion was wonder as to how I came to be up there in my own body and clothes
  3. After a few seconds I moved higher, always somehow seeing the ceiling and getting nearer to it.  This was rather exciting, and I suppose a little frightening.  I never dared to go through the ceiling – I always stopped a foot or so below it.  I very much regret this now
