Out of the Body Experiences – Celia Green

Subjects characteristically describe their field of perception in the OOB state as if it was an exact simulation of what they would normally perceive if they occupied the position in question.

One subject, for example, says that everything looked 'quite solid and normal'; 89.3% of the subjects of single cases stated that the things they saw while out of body looked just as they would do normally, and 82.3% stated that things looked coloured in the normal way.

Several subjects said that they could not tell whether colouring was normal, as their experiences took place in darkness, for example, in a cinema.

Further, 91.7% of subjects who had more than one experience and therefore more opportunities to make observations, said that the colouring was normal in their experiences.  Only one subject, who induced her experiences voluntarily, said that colouring was sometimes quite different from normal in her experiences eg an almond was coloured navy blue
