Observations placeholder

Ingrid:  Sorry I haven't made much progress with the checking for you, but the bloody broadband has been up and down like a yoyo.  I had it fixed by some engineers from BT who came in the gales and the wind and pronounced that a protective cover for all the wires and stuff on one of the poles was cracked and was letting in water.  It took them a day to fix it [quite a productive day for me because I sorted out some files for you and had one or two brain waves i'll let you know about in another mail]

Anyway.  All sorted they said.

So there I was hammering away and down it went.  Then poof, not long afterwards back again.  And every so often down it goes again.  Any ideas?  I am going hairless here

My reply:  What were you doing when it went down?

Ingrid:  Well one of your entries had got me intrigued and i was doing a search on google to find out more, but google shouldn't crash broadband

My reply:  Other times?

Ingrid:  Well no need for you to worry because each time i wasn't correcting the stuff you'd done, it was mostly when i was doing my own thing, you know how i like to have a delve into things occasionally, go off at tangents.  I know you would say i was buggering about and not getting on with the job in hand [although I know you're too polite to say buggering about it would probably be faffing] but hey a girl has to have some fun.....

My reply:  Mmm, indeed.  Well good it didn't go down during an update that would have been annoying. 

Ingrid:  It did once or twice, but luckily after it came back up, i realised i'd made a mistake in the update so in reality it saved you from a bit of embarrassment.

My reply:  Glad to hear that Ingrid, fate is on our side.  Go with the flow.

Ingrid:  Don't make me larf kidder, no such thing as fate, but i must say this is a bit eery when i think about it.  anyway back to the grindstone............
