A description of the experience
This was extracted from William Buhlman – The Secret of the Soul
My wife had passed after a long illness, and the first few days afterward passed like a blur. Even though her death relieved her from pain, I was numb with grief. Most of the time I had friends and family with me, but one evening when I was alone I relaxed on the sofa, recalling the lifetime we had spent together. As I closed my eyes to rest, I felt my body start to tingle and vibrate, and then I became very light. I was almost dizzy. Then suddenly I felt like I was in a painting. It was surreal: It was my house, but different; the colours were vibrant, and there were soft edges around everything.
And that’s when I saw her. She had never looked more beautiful, there was even a glow around her. She was wearing the dress from our wedding, but had no shoes on her feet. She did not speak, but from the peaceful expression on her face I knew she was okay. I could feel thoughts tell me that we would be together again when the time was right. With an unearthly grace, she moved out of my sight. When I opened my eyes, my body was like a lead weight. It was several minutes before I could move. That was six years ago, and it started the healing process for me.
