In May of 1991, a couple of friends and I were climbing up to the "Refuge" (Hut) at the base of the DiBona in the French Alps ( http://www.summitpost.org/view_object.php?object_id=150836).
After a long trip down from Belgium and a snow climb, almost got caught in an avalanche, we finally settled for a very cold night. As we were going to sleep, I heard a car and doors, while another of my friends heard a dog barking. The fact of the matter is that we were miles away from anyone else and the small dirt road where we parked. Exhaustion was extreme!
