Hot
It was hot last night
And very still
And I lay in the dark room
Thinking of you
3 o’ clock, thinking of you
There was no sound
Except the swish of bat wings
And flutter of moths in the wisteria
And I licked my lips remembering how soft your kiss is
And they glistened
Moist silver in the half light
And my mouth watered at the thought of the taste of you
And sweat dripped over my face
The gentle drip of desire
In the heat
In the heat
And my naked body was wet
Running with streams of unsatisfied passion
A river of lust
Through swollen banks
Just thinking of you
And what we could have done
This hot night
With only the sound of bat wings
And the flutter of moths on the wisteria
