Romberg speaking of paralysis of the oesophagus, remarks that it has been occasionally observed associated with dumbness or aphonia as a result of violent mental emotion, and refers to the works of Joseph Frank (Prax. Med., vol. 1, p. 126), but I am unable to verify this reference.
