J B Priestley - Man and Time
Field Marshal Sir Henry Wilson was assassinated by Irish Nationalists in London, June 22nd, 1922.
Ten days before, a friend of Wilson's Lady Londonderry had dreamed she had seen him murdered by two men in front of a cottage on a moor. The next day she told two people of her dream.
All the details of the actual assassination tallied with the dream - except that it took place in London. It has been suggested that the murder was plotted in a moorland cottage, which intruded itself into the dream.
