Then Moses climbed Mount Nebo ... There the Lord showed him the whole land ... Then the Lord said to him, "This is the land I promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob ... I will let you see it with your eyes, but you will not cross over into it.
Shortly after, Moses dies and is buried by God, and his successor, Joshua, leads the people of Israel into the Promised Land.

On April 2 a reporter from the Chattanooga News-Free Press was in the office of Ralph "Doc" Anderson, a Rossville, Georgia, clairvoyant who had successfully predicted in 1944 the time of President Roosevelt's death and the date for the ending of World War II.
On the television set in Anderson's office there flashed a picture of Martin Luther King. Anderson spoke out:
"He will be dead by the middle of the month!"
On the morning of April 4 the wife of an eminent British philosopher, who was residing with her husband temporarily in the United States, told him of a strange dream the night before. In her dream she had been watching some "ghastly" television program-which she avers she never does-when the program was interrupted by the news that de Gaulle had been assassinated. Perhaps her subconscious had substituted the more familiar name of de Gaulle for King, for late that afternoon she was visited by her teenaged daughter, who cajoled her into watching a "ghastly" TV Program-which was interrupted by the tragic news of Dr. King's assassination.
The night before, Martin Luther King had spoken these prophetic words:
We've got some difficult days ahead. But it really doesn't matter with me now. Because I've been to the mountaintop.
I won't mind.
Like anybody, I would like to live a long life'.
Longevity has its place.
But I'm not concerned about that now. I just want to do God's will.
And He's allowed me to go to the mountain.
And I've looked over, and I've seen the Promised Land.
I may not get there with you, but I want you to know tonight that we as a people will get to the Promised Land.
So I'm happy tonight.
I'm nor fearing any man.
Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord!
