Premonitions: A leap in to the future – Herbert Greenhouse [1971]
Alan Vaughan, now in his early thirties, should be a mature prophet in the year 2000. He joins Malcolm Bessent in predicting that the water level will be rising in a few years and that New York City will become uninhabitable. This will be gradual, however, and there will be enough time for people to leave the city.
Vaughan and Bessent gave me this prediction at the same time. It was impressive to see two cool young seers quietly confident of the same prophecy.
