I believe in this invasion of the subconscious by the clairvoyant. At the start of a seance I had a clear sensation of partially abandoning my body, which had suddenly become extremely sensitive to cold and noise or to the least contact. This detached part of myself went forward like a blind man feeling his way, seeking the path, the road which leads to discovery in this unknown world. After a few minutes' search I sensed the right path. I was on it and I had conquered my kingdom. I saw it suddenly clear and illuminated, while it remained obscure to my client's consciousness, and I could give him my answer-the advice and the explanation which in actual fact he bore within himself,
