Background

A description of the experience

Wolf Messing –the true story of Russia’s greatest psychic – Tatiana Lungin

"I can control a person's will just by looking at the back of his head, and without making visual contact with him. I recall performing in a small, cozy hall in one of the ministry residences of Moscow sometime back in the mid-1950s. My audience consisted of 250 or 300 workers from the military institution, most of whom bore insignias of ranking officers, even generals.

"Everything on stage was going according to protocol. The spectators tried conscientiously and with good humour to get to the essence of what I was projecting to them by telepathy. I was trying to avoid any occultist overtones and help them understand the experiments.

"Suddenly, at the back of the hall loomed the figure of a man, a fat, bald man with a large, protruding stomach who bore the rank of lieutenant-general. Everyone stood up and saluted him servilely. He headed for the first row and with unconcealed skepticism and iron said, in a low bass voice, ‘All right, let's see your tricks.'

"I grew angry at this arrogant bureaucrat with his preconceived contempt.

"'Tricks? All right then, you'll be my inductor!"' I said.  I started giving him mental commands. I walked behind him and coerced him to act in a manner totally out of keeping with his rank. He headed toward the stage dancing on one leg- three hops forward and one back. The audience froze with shock as they observed their great commander's hysterical movements and realized that I, Wolf Messing, was behind it all. All ended well, because the general did not know what he had been up to, and none of his subordinates ever got up the nerve to tell him.

"Was it hypnosis? Yes, without a doubt. But it was a more complex form than that which occurs with a cooperative patient in a doctor's office.
