T C Lethbridge – A Step in the Dark
From 22-26 August this summer (1966), the Travel and Exploration Unit from B.B.C. Television was here at Hole, making a film for the series 'Three Steps in the Dark'. Under the direction of Mr. Brian Branston and Mr. Bob Saunders they filmed several of the experiments described in this book. One demonstration was particularly fortunate for, after going through all the drill under the eyes of the camera and eight men from the B.B.C., I dug a hole in my front lawn and produced a Georgian cuff-button, which had been indicated by the pendulum under the rate for copper.
