Teresa Whichello's experience with her dying mother:
When my mother was ill with cancer and my sister and I were nursing her at home, two days before she died she was talking quite clearly to us when suddenly she looked toward the wall at the bottom of the bed, and said, 'Wave to your father girls, he's waving goodbye to us.' (My father had died six weeks previously.)
My sister and I, having heard of these sightings before, waved to my dad although not seeing him, and said 'Bye Dad'. She didn't say much more to us as she then slipped into unconsciousness before she died.
