A description of the experience

Love is the Link – Dr Pamela Kircher

There are also accounts of the dying getting out of bed as if to try to go with their vision. So absolutely real do these apparitions seem, that the dying person is often witnessed interacting with them, and expecting others to do so too. Hilary Froude, a practising nurse/midwife, was one of many nurses who told us about deathbed visions they had witnessed when caring for dying patients.

I was attending a patient with a fellow 'nurse - again around four in the morning. The male patient asked us to stand one on each side of him because he wanted to thank us for looking after him.

He then looked over my shoulder towards the window and said, 'Hang on, I will be with you in a minute, I just want to thank these nurses for looking after me.' The patient repeated himself a couple of times, then died!
