Several women have talked about experiences that occurred during difficult childbirths. They generally were out of their bodies and able to observe the scene below. One woman saw her child with a cord around his neck. He was blue and she assumed that he was dead. She made the decision to turn and go down the tunnel, but somehow was slammed back into her body. To her surprise, her child was resuscitated. She felt guilty for some time afterwards about her decision to go down the tunnel, because she felt that she was being unkind toward her husband in trying to do that.
