Background

A description of the experience

Flavoxate is an anticholinergic with antimuscarinic effects. Its muscle relaxant properties may be due to a direct action on the smooth muscle rather than by antagonizing muscarinic receptors.

Flavoxate is used to treat urinary bladder spasms. It is available under the trade name Urispas (Genurin  and KSA,Uritac, under the name Bladderon  or Bladuril in Chile.

Flavoxate is indicated for symptomatic relief of interstitial cystitis, dysuria, urgency, nocturia, suprapubic pain, frequency and incontinence as may occur in cystitis, prostatitis, urethritis, urethrocystitis/urethrotrigonitis.

Side effects

Flavoxate can potentially cause, vomiting, upset stomach, dry mouth or throat, blurred vision, eye pain, and increased sensitivity of your eyes to light.

On Dec, 30, 2016  253 people reported to have side effects when taking Urispas.
Among them, 10 people (3.95%) have Hallucination

 

On Jan, 27, 2016: 204 people reported to have side effects when taking Urispas. Among them, 10 people (4.90%) have Death.
