Arnica - The Healing power of herbs – Ceres Esplan
Arnica (Arnica montana), Mountain tobacco, Accident-plant, Leopard’s Bane.
The flowers and roots of this plant are used to make a tincture which can be diluted by using a teaspoonful to 1 pint of warm water. This dilution is strictly for external use only.
It takes the pain out of sprains, bruises and unbroken chilblains, as well as muscular injuries, if applied as a poultice.
Arnica is a perennial plant growing on mountains in Europe, the United states and other parts of the world. Arnica is an old fashioned remedy which still has many uses including that of making a refreshing foot bath for weary feet.
The solution also has a reputation for making hair grow!
