Background
In many of the other descriptions within the general category of extreme emotion, the emotion generating the experience is negative. But it is also possible to provoke a spiritual experience via intense and overwhelming happiness and euphoria.
Memory often seems to be a weak substitute for the actual moment itself, thus any form of spiritual experience is more likely to come at the time the happiness was felt – at the time the event that caused all this happiness occurred.
In the example here it was the happiness felt from being one with nature and the beauty of the creation

About 30 years ago I had an out of body experience. It was mid morning and I was outdoors, in a national park. I was wide awake, healthy and had had no drugs or alcohol. I remember thinking what an incredibly beautiful day it was. I remember thinking that I must be the luckiest person in the world to be so happy and to have the ability to see and feel the beauty of all that surrounded me. Then without warning something happened that is difficult to describe. All I can say is that without warning I had an out of body experience and became a part of those surroundings. A part of the bark of the trees, the leaves of the trees, even the molecules of the air. It was not frightening. Very powerful feelings accompanied the experience…. overwhelming immersion in love, peace and happiness….the love was different to anything experienced before or since…
