A description of the experience

The Jacques Romano Story – Dr Berthold Eric Schwartz

Another example (of traveling clairvoyance) occurred when a lawyer by the name of Sullivan, in Rochester, had to take care of Molly's divorce proceedings. Molly's husband was a rich businessman who lived on 86th Street in New York City. He travelled all over the country in his work, and we did not know where to serve the papers.

Fortunately, I had a friend by the name of Pinky, a YMCA boy, in Rochester, whom I used in hypnotic work.

I hypnotized Pinky, and when he was in a deep trance, my wife gave him her address in New York. Pinky then 'went' up to the house and said that 'three men are there playing bridge. One is a dummy and they bought the fourth hand.' Pinky said how strange the whole place was because it had many ornate rugs, some of which were hanging from the walls. This was interesting because my wife's husband was very fond of Persian rugs. Pinky next accurately described Molly's husband, and we knew that he was there. The lawyer then phoned an officer in New York, who served the papers on the husband the next day.

Then, Grand Master Smith asked me if Pinky would tell him what his father was doing in Yaphank, Long Island. I said: Give me the address and house number. While Pinky was still in a trance I 'sent' him over. Now my Mason friend, Mr. Smith, weighed more than two hundred pounds, was short, about five feet, seven inches, and bald-headed. I had an idea that his father would be something like him. Pinky 'went' to the house, but he said he could not see anyone. Then he noticed a light in the back room, and he spotted a woman reading a newspaper. It was the maid. He also described the porch upstairs and the arrangement of the room. Pinky looked into the bedroom and saw a man asleep.

Because of Mr. Smith's short and rotund physique, I figured that his father would be somewhat the same. Pinky surprised us by saying, 'What a tall man! He's well over six feet tall. Why-his feet are sticking out over the bed! And he has lots of hair!' The audience gasped in amazement and then exploded into laughter, because many of them knew Mr. Smith's father was six feet, four inches, tall and had a bushy head of hair for an old man!"
