Background
This picture was taken from a story book given to me by a lady in Burma as a sort of present. I had no idea why she gave it to me, but it turned out to be an extraordinary collection of spiritual insights pictorially displayed about the beliefs in Burma, a mix of ancient beliefs and Theravada buddhism.
Theravāda is the oldest surviving branch of Buddhism. The name Theravāda literally means "the Teaching of the Elders." It is relatively conservative, and 'is closer to early Buddhism than other existing Buddhist traditions'.
I do not know what the text means - perhaps someone can help me.
