Outside the Egg

What does the Egg look like from the outside?

If we were to go outside the Egg and view the Universe from the peace of Chaos what would it look like?

Well as I have said it would in reality look a little bit more like a pumpkin than an egg, because some areas of the universe are a lot more active in producing perceptions and functions than others.

And the skin would not be entirely free of chaos.  Each of the cones, small or large, would actually appear to be surrounded by a sea of energy separating them.

On the left you can see my rather crude attempt at showing each of the islands from outside the Egg and on the right you see a very ancient Chinese map of the universe or ‘the world’ as they knew it with islands named and placed as near as they could, to their place on the Egg.

All religious maps were like this once, not a view of the world as the physical, but a view of the universe from a spiritual perspective. This is how we get the symbolism of the island and why places that are hills or mountains are  especially sacred if they are surrounded by water – whether this is man made or not, palaces or castles on hills surrounded by moats are especially sacred of course – ‘an Englishman’s home is his castle’.

Like Glastonbury Tor, or Chichen Itza, Borobodur, the main gopura of Hindu temples, Angkor Wat, Monks Mound, the Pyramid of the Sun, the Chinese Xi’an mounds, the Nigerian Nsude Pyramids, the ziggurats of Mesopotamia………..
