Tariq

Ṭariq (Tarık or Arabic: طارق‎‎, Ṭāriq) is used in classical Arabic for 'the one who travels at night time' —a night visitor.  In other words one who travels on the spiritual path.  The word is both used in order to describe the spiritual path - where it is a synonym - or a person who has chosen [or been called] to be on it.
